Anti-Bullying Alliance - was established in July 2002 by NSPCC and NCB and brings together 68 organisations with the aim of reducing bullying and creating safe environments in which children and young people can live, grow, play and learn.

John has been engaged as a consultant to further develop the SRE materials.

Investors in Pupils - builds on the principles of Investors in People, it can empower all pupils and contributes to raising achievement. John works as an Assessor with the programme and is convinced of the benefits to children and young people of this exciting scheme.

Loudmouth education and training through Theatre - supplying interactive programmes for young people on personal, social and health education and accessible training for adults to aid personal and professional development.

NHEG - John is a member of the National Health Education Group.

National PHSE CPD Programme - John is a Regional Advisor, National Assessor and 'Local Lead' for the CPD Programme which provides community nurses and teachers with the opportunity to gain recognition and accreditation of their experience in teaching PSHE and to develop their knowledge, understanding and teaching and learning skills in the delivery of PSHE in Schools and other settings.

NSCoPSE - John is Vice Chair of the National Executive Committee of NSCoPSE, the professional organisation for LA advisors, inspectors and independent consultants, providing a National Forum for the views and interests of those with the responsibility for supporting, monitoring and evaluating personal and social education in schools and colleges.

Dr Petra Boynton - is a lecturer in International Health Services Research. Petra has been an agony aunt for a teenage website, Sex Editor at Mansized.co.uk and has written articles for the Daily Mail, The Guardian, New Scientist and Libido Magazine. She presents a regular sex and relationships show on BBC5Live and has featured on CH4s Sex Education Show.

PSHE Association - John is a member and Regional Subject Advisor for the PSHE Association. The PSHE Association is committed to helping teachers and other PSHE professionals to better plan. deliver, evaluate and monitor PSHE provision.

Sexpression - The National network of student-led sex education initiatives devoted to the development of sexual education in the UK. John has worked closely with different organisations and individuals in Exeter, Birmingham, London, Manchester, Hull and York, and was a keynote speaker at the 2006 and 2008 National Conferences.

Sex Education Forum - John has been a member of the Sex Education Forum since 1996.

The Talent Centre – John is developing links to consider new approaches to assessment and accreditation of practice and performance, especially in PSHE.

Unicef UK and the Rights Respecting School Award - John works as an Associate with the programme and has seen significant impact on the curriculum.
